Art - 7th and 8th Grade
Students will gain knowledge of the elements of art; line, color, texture, space, value, shape, and form. They will also study the principles of design; unity, contrast, emphasis, volume, mass, balance, and movement. Students will acquire and demonstrate knowledge of the vocabulary related to the fine arts. Studentâ•?s will acquire and demonstrate technical skills. Students will learn to think independently, plan, organize, and solve problems. Students will practice applying careful observation skills and develop understanding of proportion and spatial relationships.
