Welcome to Bancroft Broncos Mathematics! We have provided you with contact information for all of our teachers, a list of course offerings and brief description of each course.

The goal of the mathematics department is to have all our students successfully complete Algebra 1 by the end of 8th grade. To this end, we offer Algebra 1 to our 7th and 8th grade students. All of our entering 6th grade students are enrolled in one of two pre-algebra classes: Math 6 or Math 7. Students who successfully complete either class are eligible for Algebra 1 as a 7th grade student. Following school district policy, we determine Algebra 1 readiness by carefully examining a students complete record of achievement. Students qualify for Geometry after successful completion of Algebra 1. A 6th grader who is not ready for Algebra 1 will be enrolled in Math 7. Following this second year of pre-algebra, students are enrolled in Algebra 1 as 8th graders.
