Hello all. It looks like my 6 weeks of leave are up. I want to thank all of you who sent your warm wishes and regards to the new addition to my family. As promised in my last update, you can now check your child’s grade through the website. If you are on my mailing list, then you should have received an update with instructions on how to access that information.

The semester ends Thursday, January 21st. Make sure you check with your teacher soon about your grade. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Work hard the last week.
Good Luck!

Although it seems like we just started school, the first quarter is already over. If you had a great first quarter, then keep up the good work. If you did not do so well, now is your chance to pick things up.
You 7th graders have already completed some work that will count towards your 2nd quarter grade. So, make sure you make up that work if you have missed any before we get too deep into the second quarter. You can also find a video about our new topic, the digestive system, in the Science 7 Media section.

It seems like the quarter just started, so it’s hard to believe that it is almost over. October 30th is the last day of the quarter. Make sure you check in with your teacher to see if you can turn in any late or make-up work.

It was great to see so many families at Bact-to-School Night. It seems like many of you have visited the site already, so we do hope it has been useful.
Head to the “Science 7 Media” page to see students building card castles–a community building activity in our 7th grade classes.

If you are a 7th grader and want to go on the canoe trip, then you need to turn in your forms this week. If you lost your copies, then you can find them in the “homework section” of Junsay’s class page.
Parents, you can find volunteer forms below:

Families, we appreciate all the support we can get. If adults want to help out at school or on trips, then there are a few forms that need to be filled out:
Volunteer Application & Volunteer Policies: In addition to these forms, the adult needs to provide a copy of a valid picture ID.
Proof of Insurance: Fill this out if you will be helping to transport students.
Please return all necessary forms to the office at least one week prior to the time you will be volunteering. Thank you.

It’s the beginning of another school year, and now would be a great time to become familiar with our site. Ms. Pine and Mr. Junsay will continue to provide updates regarding their classes, and now other teachers are jumping on board so that their students can access information as well. Please explore.
